Join me as I travel the world by cruise ship, airplane, and occasionally via a high speed train. Whether you're along for a vicarious joyride, or some pragmatic advice on where to stay or how to save, come along with me as I spend my dog's inheritance.

Always passionate about travel, that interest only grew after I joined the Air Force and traveled to the furthest corners of the world. Now retired, I travel as much as my bank account lets me, sometimes up to half of the year. Along the way, I've learned some tips and tricks for saving money and getting the most of every dollar, euro, dinar...and learned when to splurge for those special trips.

I have sailed on 50 cruises and spent well over a year of my life aboard cruise ships. Whether it's a weekend getaway to the Caribbean, or a transatlantic to or from the States, I have done it and then some. And there's still so much to do!

I spend hours upon hours researching restaurants, interesting sites, and hotels before every trip. I look for the little hidden gems everywhere. Sometimes it's a hit, sometimes it's a miss, but either way it's always a good story.
